Michael Baum is an American entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist. He is best known as the Founder & CEO of Splunk (NASDAQ: SPLK) now worth 16 billion $ in the stockmarket.

SPLK was the first big data software technology ever to be listed in Nasdaq history at the time of its IPO in 2012.
Michael Baum is the founder of six technology start-ups, now all sold. He has continued since to be a Venture Capital Investor and also very active with founder.org he created to provide funding, education and mentoring to young innovators.
Michael shares his life between San Francisco and France where he comes every other 6-8 weeks to lead and develop Chateau de Pommard which he owns since 2014.  He will share with us the many projects around Pommard: a wine school, a high end resort, the soon to come – second season of Rootstock where rockers and musicians of great talent play on stage amid wine tasting tables and great local food from Burgundy.
Before Wharton, Michael Baum graduated with a computer science degree from Drexel University. Michael is married and has two children.

Philippe Schaus began his career in 1987 at J.P. Morgan Inc. in Brussels before joining The Boston Consulting Group in Germany in 1990. In 1992 he became International Commercial Director at Villeroy & Boch A.G. in Germany, and later was Managing Director for the Tableware Division.
He joined Louis Vuitton Malletier in Paris in 2003 as President of the Europe Zone and joined joined DFS Group in Hong Kong in 2011 as Group President of Merchandising and Marketing. He was named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DFS Group in 2012.
Since October 1, 2017, Philippe Schaus has been CEO of Moët Hennessy, the Wines and Spirits division of LVMH. He has been a member of the Executive Committee of LVMH since 2012.
Philippe graduated from The University of Liège, Belgium, as an aerospace engineer and received an MBA from INSEAD.
Born in Luxembourg and married, father of four children, Philippe speaks French, English, Spanish and German.

Along the dinner, we will be offered the chance to taste some wines and liquors from Chateau de Pommard and the Moet Hennessy group!
