The Academy of Management is committed to advancing theory, research, education, and practice in the field of management.
Founded in 1936 by two professors, the Academy of Management is the oldest and largest scholarly management association in the world.
The Academy’s 24 professional divisions and interest groups promote excellence in the established management disciplines that they represent.

The Academy of Management publishes 4 scholarly journals, a newsletter, and an annual meeting Best Papers Proceedings CD. The Academy’s journals are found in libraries around the world, including the Doriot Library, in hard copy and in research databases produced by EBSCO and JSTOR.

Academy of Management Review (AMR) provides a forum to explicate theoretical insights and developments, now ranked 1st in Thomson Reuters 2010 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) Management Category with an Impact Factor of  6.720

Academy of Management Journal (AMJ) articles empirically examine theory-based knowledge, now ranked 4th in Thomson Reuters 2010 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) Management Category with an Impact Factor of 5.250

Academy of Management Learning and Education (AMLE) provides a forum to examine learning processes and management education, with an impact factor of 2.533

Academy of Management Perspectives (AMP) – formerly the Academy of Management Executive (AME) publishes accessible articles about important issues concerning management and business, with an impact factor of 2.470
