Leading Wisely, a talk by Manfred Kets de Vries
Tuesday, April 18th, 2023
We live in highly uncertain times – and what does it mean to be a leader in today’s world? Should leaders look around them seeking more information and data, or should they rather look inside and start with reflection to lead wisely?
Manfred Kets de Vries, Distinguished Clinical Professor of Leadership Development and Organizational Change, and The Raoul de Vitry d’Avaucourt Chaired Professor of Leadership Development, Emeritus at INSEAD, has worked with many generations of INSEADers throughout his career, and it is our pleasure to welcome him in The Netherlands on April 18th. Manfred will discuss reflective leadership at the interface between international management and psychoanalysis.
Manfred Kets de Vries is Director and Co-founder of The Kets de Vries Institute. He is also Professor of Leadership Development and Organisational Change at INSEAD. He was the Founding Director of INSEAD’s Global Leadership Centre and has held professorships at McGill University, the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, Montreal, and the Harvard Business School. He is the program director of INSEAD’s Top Management Programme, “The Challenge of Leadership: Developing Your Emotional Intelligence” and scientific director of the Executive Master’s “Coaching and Consulting for Change.” The Financial Times, Le Capital, Wirtschaftswoche, and The Economist have judged Manfred one of world’s leading thinkers on leadership.
