Omar M Cordes

Partner – Chief Executive Officer at Ownership Capital

Omar is a Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Ownership Capital, a fundamental, long-horizon public equity investor that combines active engagement with ESG integration to achieve superior returns. Based in Amsterdam, the firm serves a global clientele of pension funds, foundations and endowments, managing in excess of $5 billion.

Omar has over 37 years of international experience in capital markets, structured finance, and traditional and alternative investment management. Prior to Ownership Capital, he was responsible for seeding and partnering with private equity, real estate and hedge funds at Credit Suisse. Omar has also held senior management roles at JP Morgan and Bankers Trust and has worked in New York, Paris, London and Hong Kong.

Education: BSc degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University; MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Cristina is passionate about combining innovation and technology to design triple bottom line solutions. She developed her career during the last 10 years in the energy world, driving large capital projects and decarbonization strategies across Asia, Africa and Europe.

Besides her professional endeavors, she has collaborated with several non-profit organizations in Nepal and India, bridging gaps within and across communities through more widespread access to technology, enhancing the productivity and quality of life of rural areas and slum residents.

Currently, Cristina serves as co-founder at FUL Foods, an impact-led innovation company developing carbon negative consumer goods centered around microalgae.
