With three inspiring speakers who, after introductions, will engage in a vivid discussion on the use of AI / innovation in HR to improve diversity of teams, including by removing unconscious biases of interviewers. An increasingly relevant topic in today’s world, we will highlight it from different perspectives: an HR+AI service provider, an AI ethicist and a user of / investor in these services. Eva de Mol is a managing Partner at CapitalT based in Amsterdam. CapitalT is a female-led early stage venture capital fund investing in software technology companies with brilliant teams. The fund has a unique, self-developed technology to select the best entrepreneurial teams. Next to being a venture capitalist, Eva has a joint PhD in Economics from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the University of California, Berkeley Haas Business School. Her academic research focused on the relationship between a team’s composition and venture success. Her research and knowledge on what constitutes successful teams has become a key element of CapitalT’s investment strategy.

Dr. Nakeema Stefflbauer is a Harvard GSAS MA/PhD, a tech digitalisation expert and a Venture Fellow at Included.VC. She founded the FrauenLoop women’s programming non-profit in Berlin and the Techincolor.eu network of tech leaders in Europe. Dr. Stefflbauer writes and speaks about mitigating bias in AI and has presented on the topic at the European Parliament and at various German public foundations.

Wouter Durville is a seasoned (social) entrepreneur based in Barcelona. After a career as a consultant at Bain & Company and manager at Heineken in Mexico and Brazil, Wouter decided to switch from corporate life to entrepreneurship. He is the co-founder of TestGorilla, a start-up focused on pre-employment assessments that give applicants an equal, unbiased opportunity. In addition to TestGorilla, Wouter also founded Sukhi (social venture, providing employment to ~200 artisans in developing countries), ONE for ONE (buy-one-give-one social venture) and NL Cares (volunteering organization).
