Random Dinners are looking for Hosts

Do you love to cook? Meet new friends?

Our upcoming 3 December Random Dinners need hosts. Please contact Lydia at the NAA if you would like to host a group of  INSEAD Alumni to you home and show them what you’ve got in the kitchen.

Spend an enjoyable and convivial evening, getting to know new and like-minded people over food and wine in a relaxed small-group setting. A Random Dinner is essentially a dinner party hosted by an INSEAD alum in his/her own home where dinner guests are fellow alumni who will most likely not have known each other before. We typically have between 8-10 hosts on that evening and total group sizes of between 6-8 people at each dinner. 

 
There is a suggested contribution from each guest, of which the bulk will go towards helping the hosts cover the costs of providing a sumptuous 3-course meal and non-alcoholic drinks. Guests are welcome to contribute wine.

Wedding Bells for INSEAD Alumni

The past weekend saw some of our active INSEAD Singapore Alumni wed across the world.  Jean-Francois Legourd (MBA12D) married Serene Toh at the Singapore Botanical Gardens Burkill Hall. Whilst Gabor Hava and Ana Blanco (both MBA13D) tied the knot in Miskolc, Hungary.

We wish them all the very best for their happy futures together.

INSEAD NAA Seeking nominations for new President

Requesting nominations for the next President of the Singapore Alumni Association

After two mandates of 2 years, the term of the current NAA President, Alexandra De Mello, MBA 94D, will be coming to an end in March 2017. Consequently a search committee has been formed to recruit a new President of the INSEAD Alumni Association in Singapore.

The Nominations Committee consists of the following members of the INSEAD community:

  • Abel van Staveren, EMBA 08, Treasurer INSEAD Alumni Association Singapore 
  • Christophe Inglin, MBA 93J, Past Exco member INSEAD Alumni Association Singapore
  • Alexandra De Mello, MBA 94D, President INSEAD Alumni Association Singapore

 

The Nominations Committee is seeking the input of the alumni community in Singapore to find suitable candidates for the Presidency. You will find more information on the role linked here.  According to the Constitution of the Association, based on nominations received and a subsequent interview and selection process, the Nominations Committee will make a recommendation of a single candidate for the role of President to be ratified by the Annual General Meeting of the Association in March 2017.
 
The Nominations Committee is requesting alumni to nominate potential candidates or to nominate themselves for this challenging, yet extremely rewarding position. Please email the committee chairman Abel van Staveren.  Nominations close 30 September 2016. We look forward to your suggestions and reactions.

Global INSEAD Day Celebration Date has changed in Singapore.

Due to the long weekend coming up to coincide with Global INSEAD Day, we the NAA have changed the date of our celebration at the Tree Lizard Restaurant to Thursday 8 September. We are lucky to be able to welcome the Dean Ilian Mihov as a special guest to our Green & White Dinner which will ‘celebrate the Greenery’ in this lush tropic jungle setting at centrally located Dempsey Hill.
