Have you ever made a bad decision? A really bad one? We all have. Some of us hired terrible employees, or teamed up with the wrong co-founder. Some of us chased a dream for far too long, or gave up on one way too early. Hopefully, we all learned a lot from these failures.

On the afternoon of 23 February, we’re going to make a lot of bad decisions. Some really bad ones. And we’ll definitely learn a lot from our mistakes. Luckily, this time we’ll be in a safe environment: playing poker with fellow INSEAD alumni and their guests. And don’t worry if you’ve never played before, we will learn No-limit Texas Hold’em Poker during the session.

Decision Boot Camp is back for a 4th time. Balazs Fogoly (MBA’06D), Chief Play Officer of Ember Associates, will facilitate his signature decision-making training session using poker.

But why poker? Because it’s fun. And poker is very similar to business: we have to make a lot of quick decisions under pressure, with limited information, managing scarce resources. And we have to constantly adapt our strategy to the ever changing environment shaped by our decisions, our competitors’ actions, and some luck.
