The Basel Committee is the group of international central bankers and banking supervisors with global banking oversight, and responsible for setting global banking standards. INSEAD is known for its entrepreneurial Alumni, a good number of whom are based here. The first Swiss Alumnus to IPO his company on the Swiss Stock Exchange is Fabio Cannavale, Founder, Chairman, and major stockholder of Bravofly Rumbo Group based in Chiasso in Ticino. He will be on hand in Lugano for an evening conference aimed at deepening connections in the Ticinese region’s business community, called “Ticino and Switzerland: Attractiveness and Competitiveness in an Increasingly Global World”.

Participants will learn more about the Bravofly Rumbo Group, one of Europe’s largest Online Travel Agencies, as well as hear from Theo Vermaelen, INSEAD, Professor of Finance, UBS Chair in Investment Banking and Sergio Ermotti, UBS Group Chief Executive Officer, and other business leaders from the region.

Art Basel, is an all day Alumni event of tours, private and guided, networking, and culture. It is one of the most popular annual events in recent years that is offered by the Swiss National Alumni Association.
