International Red Cross HQ Evening Conference in Geneva

ICRC Tour and Evening Conference featuring Yves Daccord September 23rd 2014

Yves Daccord, General Director, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) will open the doors of the ICRC to INSEAD Alumni.

Don’t miss the opportunity to get an insider’s view of this 150-year old institution, hear insights beyond the media headlines from Ukraine to Syria, Iraq, and Gaza and debate on the future of humanitarian aid.

Warfare has changed dramatically since the Geneva Convention in 1949. Wars between nations may be fewer, but now it’s long-running internal wars without clearly marked battlefields and the rise of new weapons and technologies. Today, it is civilians that bear the brunt of armed conflicts.

What is the future of humanitarian aid? How can an organization like the ICRC address the needs of victims, while addressing the ever more complex challenges and stay relevant? Find out on September 23rd.

After an optional guided tour of the newly renovated ICRC museum, join the conference with Yves Daccord at ICRC headquarters followed by a cocktail. ©MICR photo Alain Germond
