Before he was elected to the board of Alpiq in 2015, Jens Alder served as CEO of TDC A/S Denmark and Swisscom. He also served five years on the board of Basel-based utility company IWB, and held leadership roles at Alcatel and Motor-Columbus. He has an INSEAD MBA and holds an electrical engineering degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH).

The much anticipated annual Global Talent Competitiveness Index will be launched in Davos, Switzerland on January 16, 2017 and you are invited.

Talent and Technology: Shaping the Future of Work – GTCI 2017 Launch, January 16, 2017, Davos
In addition to the announcement of the annual GTCI report findings, the event will feature the launch of the first ever GTCI index focused on cities: the Global Cities Talent Competitiveness Index (GCTCI). This first edition features 45 cities and explores the factors that contribute to turning cities into talent magnets.
The event features four speakers in addition to INSEAD’s Bruno Lanvin, Executive Director for Global Indices and Executive Director of the Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTCI).  The GTCI measures since 2013 the ability of countries to compete for talent. The report ranks 118 countries according to their ability to grow, attract and retain talent. The event takes place outside of the Davos secure area, so no passes are needed. INSEAD Board Training (IN-BOARD) 2016-2017 (4th edition)

Promoting INSEAD´s principle of life-long learning, the INSEAD Board (IN-BOARD) Initiative is an executive education program organized by the International Alumni Association for our alumni who are involved in or aspire to play a role on boards of directors or advisory boards – from small & medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to listed corporations.

Announcing INSEAD Board Training (IN-BOARD) 2016-2017 (4th edition)

The kick-off weekend on campus in Fontainebleau is led by INSEAD Professor Erik van de Loo and will introduce IN-BOARD participants from the Belgian, Dutch, German and Swiss National Alumni Associations (NAAs) to board dynamics and effectiveness. A full day of leadership development coaching will also be incorporated. Subsequently, local modules developed for the Swiss NAA on Legal, Strategy, HR, Accounting & Auditing and Startup board topics are offered by top-level professional service firms and well-known Business Angels in a series of Zurich-based workshops, tailored specifically to the Swiss corporate environment.
