Come and hear about the solutions, new and emerging, from Gianni Operto, a cleantech advisor, startup board member and President of the multi-sector Swiss Alternative Energy Association (AEE Suisse). Gianni Operto’s background in engineering, clean energy projects and venture capital investment and current roles make him an expert on the trends, challenges and opportunities in clean energy in Switzerland and beyond. Gianni Operto, President, AEE Suisse

Besides serving the AEE Suisse, Gianni Operto is Chairman of greenTEG AG and on the supervisory board of Nexwafe GmbH, Caterva GmbH and ProCom GmbH, all three in Germany. Mr. Operto is also chairing the Scientific Advisory Board of the Werner Siemens-Foundation and serves on both the Steering Board of the Swiss Competence Center for Energy Research in Storage and the Partnership Council of the ETHZ Energy Science Center. He also served at the venture capital firms that pioneered cleantech investing, Emerald Technology Ventures (formerly SAM Private Equity) and Good Energies. Before that he was President and CEO of the Zurich Municipal Electric Utility (EWZ), where he was awarded both the European and the Swiss Solar Prize for pioneering the marketing of green products. He began his career at ABB Power Generation. Mr. Operto has a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the ETH and has completed the Executive Training Program at London Business School.

Join us for a visit to Regen Lab SA and learn about this Vaud-based medical device and biotech company’s experience and products. The event will take place at its brand new GMP plant, built to manufacture products for more than a million patients a year. Some two million patients have already been treated using Regen Lab’s products and 10’000 more have benefited from bone marrow stem cell kits. The company develops clinical-study-proven cellular therapies, some of which use the patient’s own blood as an active agent. Its products are used to treat chronic conditions and surgical wounds, such as dry eye syndrome, sport-related wounds and even hair loss. Antoine Turzi, CEO and founder, will be with the INSEAD alumni group for the entire event. Book early for this Swiss ecosystem event. The group size is limited to 20.
