We are delighted to host a fireside chat with Bill Coen, long-time Basel Committee member, and its recently appointed Secretary General. The Basel Committee is the group of international central bankers and banking supervisors with global banking oversight, and responsible for setting global banking standards. William (Bill) Coen

Mr. Coen was appointed Secretary General of the Basel Committee in April 2014. He has held various roles at the Bank for International Settlements since 1999, including the co-ordination of Basel III policy initiatives. Prior to this, he had a career at the Federal Reserve in Washington DC, and earlier he worked at the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
