Tapping the popularity of craft beer, Doppelleu has acquired 1% of the Swiss beer market, dominated by Feldschlösschen, Carlsberg & co. Within 3 years of founding it is also on track to become profitable, despite investments in its Winterthur brewery expansion. Excellent marketing and leadership are two secrets to its success, not to mention the quality and taste of its hoppy ales and unique spirits. Philip Bucher began his career at Hilti in engineering, moving into sales and marketing. After nine years there, he joined Geberit in 2009 as Chief Marketing Officer, a position he held until 2012 when he left to co-found Switzerland’s fastest growing craft beer label. Philip Bucher is an industrial engineer with a PhD in Innovation Management from the ETH Zurich and an MSc in Advanced Manufacturing Systems, Brunel University London.
