As the UK baked in near 40-degree heat in 2022 and wildfires ripped across once green and fertile areas of continental Europe, it was clear to almost all that the climate emergency is coming quicker than feared. Governments are working together for regulatory driven solutions but that alone will not be enough. More is needed and more is being done in response.

Jim Strang (AMP 17Jul), is currently a Senior Advisor to Hamilton Lane, having been until the beginning of 2021 the Chairman of their EMEA business and a long-standing member of a number of the firm’s investment committees. Jim will review the trends, challenges and opportunities found in today’s global financial and private equity markets.

For the 32nd event in the series, we are bringing together more business angels and start-ups. We will select between five and eight companies to present to the people with the know-how to help or the cash to invest. This is your chance to play a crucial and fulfilling role if you’re a business angel with resources or time to mentor.

This session will help you develop a strategy that meets both your economic means and your purpose. We will also share the personal experiences of a wide range of philanthropists. These will guide you through the pitfalls, answer your questions and help make your giving as painless, impactful and rewarding as possible.

Network and the INSEAD Healthcare Management Initiative
This half day conference will bring together clinicians, entrepreneurs and innovators at the forefront of innovation within the NHS and beyond. We will hear about the healthcare innovation landscape in the UK, opportunities and challenges in the current climate, as well as from the people making headway in this space: KHP Ventures (an early-stage fund focused on healthcare technology), SC1 (London’s new Science District), CITI – Guy’s and St Thomas Centre for Innovation, Transformation and Improvement, as well as from innovators in the field of patient-centred research and service improvement, including from INSEAD alumni.
