Emerging markets (EMs) can offer attractive investment opportunities, though these often require patience and hard work from investors to achieve the desired returns and are not for the faint-hearted. Representing almost 60 per cent of world GDP, emerging markets should be on the radar of any serious investor. However, recent weakness in equity markets, currencies and a vulnerable macro environment has put EMs in the spotlight again.
Is the EM growth story finished? Are the fundamentals still attractive? Which areas of the market present the most attractive opportunities? What are the current and short-term strategies for emerging markets and commodities? Key stakeholders will address these and other crucial topics.
Speakers: emerging markets specialist Alejandro Arevalo, Senior Portfolio Manager at Pioneer Investment Fund, Irina Miklavchich (MBA 02D) Head of EM Equities Fund at Threadneedle and Tom Price, Morgan Stanley Head of Commodities Analysis.
Moderator: Florent Robineau (EMBA 16D) Portfolio Manager at Pioneer Investments
