Dr Indra Joshi’s unique portfolio stretches across data/AI strategy and implementation. At Palantir Technologies, she worked across the global health and AI portfolio. She previously created the NHS AI Lab, a £250m investment leading to the development and deployment of over 100 AI technologies, ensuring ethical guidance and regulations. Indra is a Founding Member of One HealthTech – a network advocating for diverse inclusion in health technology. Indra is associate editor for BMJ Leader, former member of the WHO digital health expert group, and a consultant on digital health.

 

Dr Nicole Mather leads on Life Sciences and Health Data & AI for IBM. Building on a vision to transform the future of the industry for patients, her teams combine innovative approaches, technical depth and a collaborative culture to enable business transformation. As founding Director of the Office for Life Sciences, Nicole led the development of the UK government Life Sciences Industrial Strategy. Currently, Nicole serves as a NED at the Cell & Gene Therapy Catapult and Wellcome Sanger Genome Research.

 

Aseem Sadana (MBA 00J) heads the UKI business for HealthHero, a leading pan European digital healthcare provider. His experience covers strategy consulting, entrepreneurship, and leading scale ups to exit. His previous buy and build journey was as Group COO at IMImobile, a leading enterprise cloud software business acquired by Cisco. Aseem has been featured in the FT as a ‘highly commended disrupter’ in the Technology sector in the UK.

 

Amir Zafar (MBA 02D) is a strategic and M&A advisor in healthcare with over 20-year experience in leading regional sector franchises for various investment banks and corporate finance boutiques including Opus, Wells Fargo Securities, RBS, and ABN Amro. During this time, he advised corporates, financial investors and entrepreneurs across life sciences and healthcare services on over 50 M&A and capital raising transactions. In addition to his role at Opus, he acts as a Senior Advisor to Eccleston Associates, an investment consulting firm with a focus on life sciences and healthcare.

 

Moderator: Polly Bishop (MBA 01J) is a leader in digitally enabled healthcare strategy and transformation with over 25 years’ experience in consulting and healthcare. As NHSX Director of Digital Experience, she led the national portfolio of digital citizen services including the NHS App and NHS website, and subsequently led digital strategy development and implementation at South West and South East London ICBs. Partner at IBM, Polly works with clients to drive digitally enabled transformation within the NHS, to improve healthcare experience, outcomes, equity and efficiency.
