Annual Alumni Poetry and Music Event
Tuesday 25 June, 19:00 – 21:00

Join us for another intimate, soulful evening in June in the private home of Roger Press in central London. Roger was a concert pianist before INSEAD, who will indulge us in many a symphony. The evening also includes recitals by INSEAD London’s alumni poets Rachna Chowla and Timothy Ades. You are also very welcome to bring along your favourite poems to share, or more (we will have a grand piano).

Now in our fourth year, these improvised events have always been filled with melodic enchantment, slipping us somewhere deep in between poetry, and laughter and joy, accompanied by something sparkling to drink – so please come and be a part of the evening too!

Timothy Ades (MBA 66) works mainly with French, German and Spanish rhymed poems, translating them into English and for fun, he will sometimes write poems with fewer vowels. He has written nine books to date, translating works from Robert Desnos, Victor Hugo, Jean Cassou, Alfonso Reyes, and Alberto Arvelo Torrealba.

Rachna Chowla (MBA 09D) is a doctor by day and a poet by night. She has written two books, with poems touching the themes of the Beauty, Truth and Love – that Neruda-Rumi-Hafiz-rapturous-kind-of-love that we are either blessed enough to know, or all long to know…

Roger Press (MBA 89J) has played the piano all his life. Before being resprayed as a businessman at INSEAD gave concert tours including the USA, England, Scotland, Yugoslavia, Spain and France. He works in academic publishing. MusicID is used by universities around the world for music business and shows the cultural impact of music.
