How is social media affecting recruitment and job search?
Is LinkedIn the key to getting your next job or are the traditional routes more effective? How detailed should your CV be online – should you provide the minimum to allow you to tailor it to each role? And what is the best way to combine LinkedIn and head-hunters? How can you leverage your online presence more effectively?
Steven Kang (MBA 06D) is Director of Sales Operations, Sales Solutions EMEA at LinkedIn. Steven joined LinkedIn in 2007 following positions at Bain, Deloitte and Barclays.
Simon Havers is responsible for the private equity and venture capital practice of Odgers Berndtson. Previously he led private equity firm Baird Capita, was Chairman of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA) and has held a range of non-executive directorships including Cerillion and ArmorGroup International plc.
Richard Love is the Managing Director of Berwick Partners, the senior management recruitment division of Odgers Berndtson, which operates across the commercial, public and not for profit sectors in the UK. He is a member of the Odgers Berndtson UK operating board. His early career developed from audit with PwC to management roles with leading financial recruitment organisations.
Alice Barriball is Head of Central Resourcing at Greene King, one of the UK’s leading pub and brewing companies employing 23,000 people in 1,900 pubs, restaurants and hotels including Hungry Horse, Old English Inns, Eating Inn and Loch Fyne Seafood and Grill. She previously worked as a Director of the recruitment companies ACG Resourcing and Prime Insight.
