COVID-19 Digital Health Awakenings: How Itecho Health, an INSEAD led start-up, has responded to the pandemic

Healthcare has been one of the slowest sectors to shift to digital. In the UK, despite supportive national policies and establishment of NHS Digital and NHSx, system and funding complexities, concerns around information governance and the ‘NHS bureaucratic soup’ have been barriers to digitalisation. Then along came a virus which changed everything!
INSEAD Alumni Adrian and Lalit will share their experience of the challenges faced by COVID-9; Itecho Health’s rapid growth during lockdown (from working on 3 conditions to more than 20); the exciting opportunities for digital-health and why analysis shows now is the right time to invest in medtech.
Dr Adrian Brown (GEMBA 16D), CEO of Itecho Health was a Consultant doctor in Public Health for 10-years in London leading high-profile healthcare re-design projects. He was exploitation and commercialisation lead for a 5.4m Horizon 2020 EU programme in digital health prior to attending INSEAD, leaving the NHS and setting up Itecho Health.
Lalit Suryawanshi (GEMBA 16D), CTO of Itecho Health is a computer engineering graduate, digital technology transformation expert with roles leading creation of digital platforms across a range of sectors including retail (ASDA/Walmart, Howden’s Joinery, QVC, Wilko); logistics (Hermes) and airlines (Air Canada). After attending INSEAD, he became co-founder of Itecho Health.
