From High Heels to Third-fastest Growing Business

Nigel Whiteoak (MBA 01D) is one of the founders of LoveCrafts, the international content, commerce and community platform for crafters. LoveCrafts was once the third-fastest growing business in the UK and made a 10x return for its seed investors before eventually selling to a US multi-channel crafting business in 2024.

Prior to LoveCrafts, after a brief spell at the Boston Consulting Group, Nigel spent his career in eCommerce and Marketplace businesses. He started by distributing electronic components at RS Group, has sold high-heeled shoes for Kim Kardashian at Shoedazzle, travel at Expedia and pretty much everything and anything at eBay.

Nigel lives in Bath with his MBA 08D wife and three children. Having left LoveCrafts after the sale, he is studying for an MSc in Computer Studies at the University of Bath whilst he thinks about what’s next.
