Internet of Things: Beyond the buzz
Thursday 27 September
This event is sponsored by GSMA
As more devices become connected to the internet, the “internet of things” (or “IoT”) is entering everyday life. It started with mobile phones, but now everything is becoming connected: watches, house alarms, cars and buses, healthcare devices, production machines, collars for cows. GSMA intelligence forecasts that the total number of IoT connections (cellular and non-cellular) globally will reach 25.2 billion in 2025, up from 6.3 billion in 2017.
Our experts will explain how the IoT is turning from a buzz word into real business and profits. We will tackle questions like:
What new technologies are having the biggest impact on business models?
What are the best business opportunities presented by the IoT?
Who are the leading players (established and newcomers)?
What are the security risks?
Experts from venture capital, major players and start-ups in this market will explore these topics and more.
