Lunar New Year Dinner
Thursday 10 February, 19:00
Join us for a relaxed Lunar New Year Dinner on Thursday 10 February to welcome the Year of the Tiger. We will be enjoying 13 courses at the award-winning Master Wei in Holborn. Lillian Luk (MBA 01J) will explain some of the traditions of the 40-day festival which lead to a lucky year ahead.
One Chinese legend is that of Nian, a hideous beast believed to feast on human flesh on New Year’s Day. Because Nian feared the colour red, loud noises and fire, red paper decorations were pasted to doors, lanterns were burned all night, and firecrackers were lit to frighten the beast away. Please wear a flash of red to keep Nian away.
Numbers are limited so book soon to be sure of a place.
