Lunchtime Sessions
Talk Lean: Simplicity. Authenticity. Productivity.
Monday 25 January 12:30 – 13:45

Most of us are too inhibited to say what we really think, to express how we really feel, to ask for what we really want – and our impact and effectiveness suffers. But those of us who lack such inhibitions often just come over as abrupt or brutal.

What if there were a middle way? A way of being consistently clear, direct and straight-to-the-point whilst always remaining polite, respectful and empathetic? This ‘middle-way’ is what Alan Palmer (MBA 86D) and his colleagues at Interactifs teach people this effective discipline. In this short lunchtime workshop he will expose you to some first ideas on losing inhibitions without losing friends.

As with all sessions, there will be time for Q&A and small group breakouts to facilitate meaningful conversations and connections.

Alan Palmer (MBA 86D) is a senior partner at Interactifs UK. Interactifs is a pioneer in the field of training / coaching on relationship skills and social intelligence. He is the author of “Talk Lean: Shorter meetings. Quicker results. Better relations.” which was short-listed in the UK for the “Management Book of the Year” award in 2015. Alan is also an Adjunct Professor at INSEAD, teaching the MBA elective “Talk Lean: Simplicity, Authenticity, Productivity.”
