Pavlin Kumchev (MBA 11J) is Associate Director at The Carlyle Group where he focuses on distressed and special situation investment opportunities. Prior to joining Carlyle, Pavlin worked in Blackstone’s Restructuring and Reorganisation Group following a period at Behrman Capital in New York, where he concentrated on middle-market private equity investments. Pavlin began his career in the Investment Banking Group of Morgan Stanley in New York and has served on a number of corporate boards as an observer.

Francois Aguerre (MBA 05D) is Partner – Co-Head of Origination at Coller Capital. François is responsible for managing the firm’s investment origination activities worldwide from his base in the firm’s London office. Prior to joining Coller Capital in 2007, François worked in the Investment Banking division of UBS in London. Previously, he worked at Gimar Finance and PAI Partners in Paris, and at Société Générale in New York.

Alex Fortescue (MBA 94D) is Managing Partner at Electra Partners LLP. Alex chairs Electra Partners’ Management Committee and is a member of its Investment Committee. He sits on the boards of Electra Partners’ portfolio companies AXIO Data Group, Parkdean Resorts, Davies, Hotter Shoes, Knight Square and Retirement Bridge Group. His previous experience includes 11 years at Apax Partners and nine years at OC&C Strategy Consultants where he focused on corporate strategy and private equity commercial due diligence.
