Carolin Greiner (MBA 00D) spent 10 years at New York advertising agencies and has 13 years of operational start up experience at firms such as Spartan Race and Tonic Health. Carolin used to work with FMCG and luxury clients, and then a close family member was diagnosed with cancer. She decided to pivot her career and dedicate her professional energies to healthcare brands and prevention of sickness. Carolin works independently, but also regularly leverages other experts or makes introductions in the UK, EU and US.
Duncan Leask has a 32-year corporate career, during which he helped start, build, scale, and sell two insurance companies with turnovers exceeding £100 million. He transitioned to a portfolio career in 2019. Since then, his fractional roles have been diverse, ranging from Managing Director of an insurance broker to CEO of a charity. His current portfolio includes Non-Executive Director, Board Advisor, and Trustee roles. Additionally, he provides strategic support, mentoring, and training to businesses and their teams in the UK and Asia.
Ben Legg is CEO and co-founder of The Portfolio Collective, which helps professionals understand, launch, manage and grow successful portfolio careers. It has grown to 12,000 members globally since foundation during lockdown. He also has his own portfolio career – mentoring entrepreneurs, building businesses and educating investors. Ben’s early career roles included British Army Officer, McKinsey strategy consultant, executive at Coca-Cola, COO of Google Europe and various global technology CEO roles.
Maria Vavoulas is a Fractional COO with 15 years in recruitment and a background in sales. Maria’s transition into the fractional world began in 2024, driven by the desire to focus on projects and help SMEs within the recruitment industry level up and connect the dots. Maria excels at transforming complexity into clarity through facilitation, strategic operations and practical application. Born and raised in Wales and of Greek heritage, she comes from a family of recruiters and entrepreneurial business owners so understands what it takes to “make it happen”.
