Retail is under pressure from all sides and whilst many cite customer first strategies as the answer, the solutions are not always as obvious as one might think.
Mark Selby is a luminary in the world of new technology, how it is changing consumer behaviour and the way organisations can respond. In this session he will be exploring innovative applications of how retailers and brands are using hybrid thinking and solutions to achieve greater customer relevance, sustainable engagement and value in retail. After all, why limit your strategies to building destinations, convenience and efficient fulfilment when you could be joining your customers on their more relevant journeys?
Mark Selby is Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey, home of the 5G Innovation Centre. He is also a director of the Project Beyond Consortium and a Duke Corporate Education faculty member. Mark lectures globally, consults, and serves on boards. His current work focuses on Immersive Technologies, Intelligent Mobility and Disruption and Destruction.
Mark’s career spans technology, media, telecoms and retail and has included senior roles at Nokia, IMG, DEC and Xerox. He founded the Mobile Channel Network and co-founded the Health on the Net Foundation.
