Ibrahim Ibrahim MDesRCA DIC FRSA is Managing Director of Portland Design, part of the Perkins + Will architecture and design network. He will explore how consumers’ relationships with brands are shifting and how that is driving the rapidly changing retail landscape. Ibrahim will describe the four pillars of success that the future winners in retail will adopt and how this will shape the new notion of the shop. His presentation will be peppered with best practice examples across a wide range of retail categories.
Ibrahim Ibrahim is a post-graduate of the Royal College of Art and Imperial College and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He is a regular speaker at conferences and a frequent writer on the future of retail and consumerism, branding and retail design, writing a regular piece for The Economist. Ibrahim has a deep interest in understanding consumers’ relationships with brands and their interaction with branded physical and digital environments. During his 29 years in design consultancy he has worked with a wide range of clients including Nestle, Diageo, Dubai Airport, Luxottica, Arcadia and Montreux Jazz Café.
