Technologies making ‘human capital’ work better
Thursday 21 November
This event is sponsored by Orrick
Where is the balance between technological advance and a skilled workforce? How is the labour market changing and how can organisations profit from understanding the need to balance human talent with online tools? Our panel will look at what the fast-moving developments mean. They will consider whether ‘human capital’ is best managed by other humans and the role of technology in helping companies and people work better, using tools such as online marketplaces that match talent with jobs, software and SaaS for talent acquisition, talent management, core HR (payroll, time and attendance).
Today’s labour market is changing and tech providers must adapt to these changes too. Trends like part-time, temporary and remote work, retaining highly skilled talent and training are top of the list for employers and employees. New technologies are necessary to support these changes.
Many HR functions have moved to the cloud and are accessible from any device in any location. Also, more data is being collected and better analysed with the use of advanced algorithms. All of the above has to take into consideration local labour laws and regulations. At this event we will explore the strategies of outstanding growth companies in the dynamic human capital market, backed by leading investors.
Key questions for the panel:
- What are the trends in the labour market and how are companies adapting to them?
- Is technology a game-changer or an enabler?
- Which segment of the market are you after?
- How do you plan to beat your competition?
- How are labour laws and regulations affecting your business?
