What can we learn from the legacy of Nokia? This is a question that will be addressed not only by reviewing the past, but also by looking into the future.
Members of INSEAD Alumni are invited to an open seminar in which Professor Yves Doz (INSEAD) will present the key insights from his new book entitled Ringtone: Exploring the Rise and Fall of Nokia in Mobile Phones (Oxford University Press). Through his long-term relationship with Nokia’s senior management, Professor Doz has been in a privileged position to study the evolution of Nokia in the mobile phone industry in depth, from its very beginnings to 2013.
The evening will open with a short presentation by Professor Doz, highlighting some of his key findings, followed by a panel that will discuss the lessons that can be drawn from Nokia’s recent history and the implications of its legacy for Finland today and in the future. The panel will feature:

The seminar is organised by Aalto University, School of Business and it will take place on November 22nd 2017 at 17:30 to 19:15 in the main building of the School of Business, Runeberginkatu 14-16 (registration starting from 17:00).
