Our panel of industry experts and NEDs will discuss the role of chairwomen/men and the board as organisations go through AI transformations. What questions are executives and boards contending with? How can they stay relevant and differentiate between fleeting fads and genuine trends or transformations?
Anne-Charlotte Desruelle (MBA 04J) is an entrepreneur with 22 years of experience. She is passionate about making the world a better place and about empowering women. She has boot-strapped a company from zero to a multi-cultural team of 30 employees and 1000s of independent salespeople across five countries. Her key areas of expertise include: the production of fast consumer goods and fashion, branding, communication, marketing, logistics, sales force management and sales training, and customer service.
Priya Khullar (MBA 07J) is Director Customer Voice, Experience and Insight at the UK Home Office where she is a Customer Experience (CX) advocate with over a decade of expertise in driving customer-centric strategies across diverse industries. She leads initiatives to enhance customer engagement and data-driven decision-making. Priya’s previous experience includes roles as Chief Customer Experience Design & Data Officer at Conversity and Head of CX, Insights, and Data Analytics at Sky, where she leveraged AI and analytics to boost customer satisfaction and business growth. Priya is a Board Member at London TravelWatch.
Iain Mackie is Co-Founder and CEO of Malted AI whose platform uses distillation to build accurate and efficient AI models for enterprises. He is a board member of neural search startup, Marqo, and an active angel investor. Iain previously worked as a Quant Trader at BNY Mellon, a Researcher at Edinburgh Partners (exited to Franklin Templeton), and an Investor at Creator Fund. He completed his PhD at the University of Glasgow, where he worked on the interaction between LLMs and search systems, sponsored by the Bloomberg AI Scholarship.
Philip Meier is a Partner at L.E.K. Consulting with over 20 years focusing on analytics and technology. He leads the Data & Analytics practice in Europe and co-leads L.E.K.’s AI efforts globally both with clients and the internal AI transformation programme. Philip has a strong focus on clients solving analytical problems and developing data and AI strategies that are value-creating for both the business and its customers. His expert commentary has appeared in Harvard Business Review and he recently participated in an Economist panel discussion on the intersection of AI and nuclear.
Florent Robineau (TIEMBA 17J) is a Non-Executive Director at Coast 4C, a high-growth company dedicated to marine preservation and sustainable supply chains, where he provides governance and strategic oversight. He is also a Senior Advisor at Star Mountain Capital, a leading US private credit specialist, and the founder of Renova Capital, a private investment firm. With over 20 years’ experience as an investor, he has held leadership roles at GIC, the Singapore Sovereign Wealth Fund, Merrill Lynch, and Pioneer Investments. Florent holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD/Tsinghua and a Venture Capital degree from Wharton.
Moderater: Alexandra Fattal (EMBA 23J) is a Venture Partner at Loyal VC with over a decade of experience in business, finance, and innovation. Formerly a business and finance correspondent at The Economist, she covered global markets and economic trends from Milan, London, and New York. Alexandra also serves as a mentor at Interinnovation, supporting startups and entrepreneurs and has a background in economic policy analysis at the European Parliament and consulting at FreshMinds.
