At the helm is Ian Stuart, appointed CEO of HSBC UK Bank plc and Group Managing Director in April 2017. As CEO of HSBC UK, Ian is also a member of the HSBC Holdings plc Group Executive Committee.
Ian has worked in financial services for four decades. He joined the HSBC Group as Group General Manager and Head of Commercial Banking Europe in 2014, having previously led the corporate and business banking businesses at Barclays and Natwest, following his career start at the Bank of Scotland.
Ian is the global Executive Sponsor of HSBC’s Ability Employee Network, and is also a Business Ambassador for Meningitis Now. He is married with four children and is a keen golfer.
