IDN Board Pathways Program

The IDN Board Pathways Program is a flagship initiative of the INSEAD Directors Network (IDN), designed to help members sharpen their board appointment strategy, enhance their positioning, and connect with a supportive international community of peers. This practical, peer-to-peer, and expert-led learning experience supports both current board directors looking to expand their portfolio and IDP-Cs seeking their first non-executive board seat.
The program is tailored for IDN members with 0–5 years of board experience and offers a structured, real-world approach to board career development.
What the program offers:
  • A clear, practical framework for advancing your board career
  • Expert insights from seasoned board directors, board chairs, and leading governance professionals
  • A final session to pitch your board value proposition to a panel including a board chair and a senior search firm representative
  • One-to-one coaching with program leads Alain Deniau or Sylva de Fluiter to refine your board strategy and personal brand
  • A trusted peer group of IDN members for mutual learning and support
  • A Certificate of Completion upon full participation
Program format and structure:
  • Duration: 16 September – 9 December 2025
  • Format: Online, 7 fortnightly sessions (90 to 120 minutes each)
  • Size: Small group to ensure a high-quality experience and peer connection
  • Includes: Learning exercises, a facilitated WhatsApp group, and a 1:1 coaching session with a program lead
Fees and registration:
Places are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with consideration given to applicant objectives and class diversity.
