Stay Safe, Stay Close Virtually

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are committed to protect our community and our volunteers while staying in touch with each other.

Following a meeting with our Executive Committee this week, we have committed to be an even stronger enabler of connections for our Singapore alumni during these difficult times. We will be launching and moving to virtual / remote events whenever possible. We are also working with other Alumni Associations worldwide and with INSEAD to make available more webinars for our members.

This will allow all of us to stay engaged, educated and connected wherever you are in the world. The online events are free of charge for MEMBERS (join us now). We will give you access with a link sent by email after you register for the event.

The team of Alumni Association of Singapore also remains available for 1o1 meetings and conference calls if you need to reach any of us.

Follow our social media pages Facebook and LinkedIn to stay updated. We have over 1,500 members in our Facebook Alumni Group! All of you can participate and start a conversation.

If you would like to send supporting messages or good wishes to our Dean, Ilian Mihov, please direct your messages to Alumni relations team at INSEAD. They are collecting all the support messages.

As a global business school, INSEAD and INSEAD faculty are also leading from the front during the COVID-19 crisis. Professor Phanish Puranam just launched a short online survey to analyse how it is to really work together when we’re apart. It only takes 5 minutes and we’d love your feedback! Important Notice – COVID’19

Given the latest COVID’19 developments, we want to update you on the following implications for our INSEAD Alumni in Singapore:

  • Our Dean, Ilian Mihov, has tested positive and is in isolation following the measures in Singapore. We would like to wish our Dean a quick and speedy recovery.
  • INSEAD will not be able to welcome alumni on any of its campuses or facilities at this time. Therefore, we kindly ask all our Alumni to help support the school in these challenging times and refrain from accessing any INSEAD campus or facilities over the next few weeks.
  • In order to safeguard our Alumni and INSEAD’s reputation, the INSEAD Alumni Association in Singapore has postponed its Annual General Meeting, initially scheduled for Thu March 19th.
  • Singapore government has also issued additional precautionary measures to prevent further importation of cases. These include travel advisories against all non-essential travel abroad, and further restrictions on travellers coming into Singapore.

The most important thing currently is to ensure our community is safe. Please follow Singapore government guidelines HERE and be socially responsible.

Thank you for your support and understanding at a difficult time for all of us.

Stay Safe and Positive

Kind regards,

Cintia Tavella MBA’07D
President
