If you would like to volunteer to be part of IWIB team, this is your chance to do so. The networking dinners are open to all alumni, regardless of promotion year, gender, or which type of organization to which you belong. We hope to invigorate professional and personal development for all who attend.

Annual General Meeting + Bernhard Heusler (former President FC Basel 1893), Zurich

Football as a team sport, and a professional football club as a commercial business, exert high demands on leadership and teamwork. Dr. Bernhard Heusler will show that it is not just luck that determines victory or defeat by describing value-based, team-oriented leadership. He draws on operational experience with a profitable football club that just achieved its 8th consecutive Super League title, surpassing by far the BSC Young Boys’ record of five trophies in a row.

The speaker presentation begins at 19:00, with badging and reception at 18:30. It is open to all INSEAD alumni and guests. It is preceded by the AGM, which is restricted to Swiss National Alumni Association members (paid up). Bernhard Heusler was president of the FC Basel 1893 from 2012 until June 2017. He joined the organization in 2003 as a contracted legal advisor to the board, became Vice President of the club in 2006, and was responsible for the club’s day-to-day operations as of 2009. He is also a legal advisor at Walder Wyss since 2014. Before that he was a partner for 14 years of a leading Swiss law firm with offices in Basel, Bern and Zurich. He is president of the Stiftung für kranke Kinder in Basel. He graduated from University of California Davis and holds a Dr. iur (1992) from the University of Basel (lic. iur. in 1988).
