Robert Salmon [MBA INSEAD ‘63] is a bestselling business writer and consultant after a 37 year career at l’Oréal Group, which culminated in his role as Senior Vice President for L’Oréal Luxury Divisions, and head of Group Strategy. He was the first of many INSEAD Alumni recruited by L’Oréal. Robert Salmon’s expertise in the luxury industry and knowledge of local markets is in demand, and makes him a valued global advisor and consultant.

Challenges magazine published the results of a survey of 835 members of the INSEAD Alumni Association France ranking global cities with the most desirable environment for personal and professional life. Dubai topped the list, followed by Amsterdam, Toronto, and Singapore. The publisher said it was a surprise that both Dubai and Madrid were came to the top of the ranking because of the dips in both economies in recent years. It apparently does not deter entrepreneurs and expatriates seeking career opportunities and city lifestyles.Paris came in eleventh spot.
